Anyone may continue to participate to their heart's desire. The chat in fact makes it far easier for everyone to communicate. As you have said you might learn how to use a proxy. If this is the case then I invite you to visit the chat and prove otherwise. If you honestly do not believe that newsgroups are better, then ask anyone who has been to websites and newsgroups enough and they will tell you the same. If you do not understand, please reread the previous sentence as many times as necessary. This is consistent with everything that FAQ 2 and FAQ 3 state. In addition, it is the same thing that many others have stated in the past. The bottom line is they typically try to get people to send them material and go from there. If you wish to demonstrate the contrary, you are also welcome to do so. If not, then your speculation on this is pointless.
